Nari Panoos
Nari Panoos is a village and Union Council of Karak District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.〔(Tehsils & Unions in the District of Karak - Government of Pakistan )〕 It is located at with an altitude of 678 metres (2227 feet)〔(Location of Nari Panos - Falling Rain Genomics )〕 and is an area where salt is mined.〔(Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Limited )〕
==Description==
Nari Panos is located at north of city Karak about 10 Kilometers from it. It is included in tehsil Banda Daud shah of district Karak, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.The village is riched in Salt mines and length of mountains containing salt is about 20000 meters extending from Bhahadar Khel to Spina.Nari Panos is sandwicthed between Banda Daud Shah and Karak with salt mines between Karak and it transversely.Nari Panos is also possessing Uranium,gas,crude oil but not yet extracted as it is part of the tehsil including all these.Nari Panos is union council.
Nari Panos is surrounded by Spina at east, Enzarpayan at North, Dagar Nari at West and Salt mountains is its limit boundary with city Karak.Literacy rate of the village is 70 percent and almost every child is on way to school,The focus on education started very early on as the area is dry and agriculture mostly is dependent upon rain so people right from independence have started to educate their child resulting in generations of doctors , engineers ,teachers , armed officers/jawans ,civil servants,social activists and nearly every important post in government and bureaucracy.The most renowned people from karak district are Dr Muhammad Aman Khattak(first doctor from district karak who studied form king edward lahore in 1960's),Shernawaz Khattak(Lawyer and political leader/minister),Lt col (Rafique one of first few officers from the region in early 1950's),Baz Muhammad Khattak (civil servant),Engr. Ayaz Khattak(Excen),Fahimullah khattak(finance secretary kpk),Engr Rehman Khattak(Civil Engineer) and many others are from the village who excelled their careers with distinctions.
Now the oil and Gas companies are towards Nari Panos and Banda Daud Shah for mines extraction and already MOL is working in tehsil however water is a big issue in the region due to dry land.
